Farsenal's slim title hopes took a huge hit on Monday night with boss Raelene Janes rejecting the clubs push for a place in the Wednesday night league.
Farsenal are now resigned to joining a waiting list of teams for the Wednesday night competition.
But in better news for the embattled club, Janes has offered Farsenal a place in the less prestigious Monday night league. However, they are not permitted to join the competition until March 19.
It is a bitter pill to swallow for Farsenal who claim they were promised a place in the Wednesday night comp at the end of 2006.
"They indicated to us after the grand final that we would always be welcomed back," a dejected Sam Kelly said on Tuesday.
"It was a case of 'just let us know when your ready to play and we'll slot you straight in'."
"We have been very loyal to the competition over the past two years and this is really a kick in the guts."
But Farsenal will attempt to make up ground and with its star studded squad, it should be able to make a quick climb up the table.
"It would be good if we got a cheap fours competition group," Kelly joked.
